This week we praised God for answered prayers! We also reviewed the highlights of "Operating in the Courts of Heaven" book - chapters 9 - 19. Jesus is our Mediator and Intercessor. He goes between us as our "defense attorney" and God to defend us by His testimony and the sprinkling of His Blood. Through forgiveness of our sins, transgressions, deceit, or iniquities, we are able to have any legal claim that the enemy brings against us, dismissed and revoked. We must know our legal rights and use them to fulfill our purpose and God's plans for our lives.
This week we shared testimonies of God's goodness and answers to our prayers. We do this to give God the glory and encourage others in their time of need. God's love for us, His Creation, is beyond measure or comprehension. When we need Him to rescue us, comfort us, heal us, provide for us, strengthen us, or do what no one else can do, He willingly and unconditionally meets those needs. We prayed using our rhythmic breath as a way to focus on God's Word, will and promises (on the inhale) and what we, as believers and interceders, do not accept and release because of the power of Christ (on the exhale).
Dr. Mario, Coach Jo Anne, and Pastor Kelly have each recorded a brief segment on Freedom on the 4th of July! True freedom is found in Jesus Christ alone. We can take pride in our country and it’s value of freedom, but only when we truly understand the source of freedom, the cost of freedom, the responsibility of freedom, and how we are to live out freedom by uniting in love.
This week we opened with Praise Reports to showcase all that God is doing in the lives of those we have been praying for! God is always at work (John 5:17) but we don't always stop and recognize answered prayers. When we take a moment to testify of His goodness, we give God the glory, honor, and praise He deserves. We also reviewed pages 127 & 129 from the book Operating in the Courts of Heaven by Robert Henderson. The point of these passages is to express that God's will happens through the Church - the corporate people of Christ. As Ambassadors, it is our job to come to the Lord and state the a case for His righteous judgement to be rendered and it to be manifested here on earth.
Operating in the Courts of Heaven by Robert Henderson. This week we focused on Angels and how we are Registered in Heaven. Angels are spiritual beings created by God to assist us in the fulfillment of God's will. We must be aware of angelic activity and test the spirits to ensure they are not false prophets or antichrist spirits. (1 John 4:2-5) When we believe & confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, we are "registered in heaven" and have legal rights to stand in the Courts of Heaven and present a case on behalf of ourself, our family, our community, our culture, and our country. Through prayer and intercession, we can change destinies and purposes within our legal, registered realm.
Operating in the Courts of Heaven by Robert Henderson. This week we focused on Worship & The Bride of Christ. As the corporate body for believers in Jesus Christ the Messiah, we are the Bride - the holy city of Jerusalem. We are to join the General Assembly in Heaven to worship. When we worship in an authentic, personal, and intimate way, we essential touch heaven and create an atmosphere that the Courts of Heaven operate in.
Operating in the Courts of Heaven by Robert Henderson. The Mountain of the Lord is where God's spiritual governmental place resides. We enter the presence and the Holy place of the Spirit when we pray. It is by faith in Jesus Christ that we are birthed into the spiritual realm and have access to the place where decisions are made that impact us on earth. We are repositioned to function in this heavenly, judicial space to make requests and petitions to God, the Righteous Judge. Through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, our prayers unite and agree with God's plans and purposes and therefore, free God's will to be done on earth and to manifest in the physical, seen world.
Operating in the Courts of Heaven by Robert Henderson. An example from Zechariah 3, when Joshua was brought before the Heavenly Courts. Joshua was called by God and his divine purpose was in jeopardy because the Accuser (Satan) was trying to stop Joshua. Satan tried to accuse him of known & hidden sins (sinful acts from past generations). The angel of the Lord exchanged his filthy garments for a new robe of righteousness and put a new turban on his head (to renew his mind). The Lord prophesied over Joshua.
Operating in the Courts of Heaven by Robert Henderson – Chapter 4 “functioning in the courts of heaven”.
Operating in the Courts of Heaven by Robert Henderson – Chapter 1-3 God as Father, Friend, and Judge.
Introduction to the book study, “Operating in the Courts of Heaven” by Robert Henderson and understanding there is a spiritual court that our accuser tries to present cases against us in. However, through the blood of Jesus, our testimony, and completely surrendering our life to God, we are given the victory in Christ.
POSITION. We must be “in position” for us to receive the anointing of God and for us to fulfill God’s purposes and plans for our lives.
You can’t receive what you can’t see. Only through the Holy Spirit can we know and understand what God’s plans, purposes, and promises are for our lives. We must see with supernatural eyes to know what legally belongs to us through Jesus.
Through Jesus Christ, we have the opportunity to go to God directly about our failures, concerns, requests, and thanksgivings. God doesn't require a middle-man, a sacrificial offering or a religious ceremony to meet with Him. Through Jesus, we have ACCESS! Ephesians 2:18 says, "Through him [Jesus] we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father."
